PTO Basic Information

Newsletters | Your PTO Dollars at work

We encourage all parents, grandparents and guardians of our Burch Bears to get involved in our school. Everyone that has a student at Robert J Burch Elementary is a member of the PTO. There are no forms or dues. The PTO (through donations and fundraisers) offers financial help to the school and, more importantly, provides volunteers. Please help our Bears by volunteering your time and talent.

Objectives of our PTO:
To protect the welfare of children and youth in home, school, church, and community.

To raise the standards of home life.

To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.

To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the training of the child.

To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for every child the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.

Your PTO Dollars at Work

Your PTO dollars are always at work here at Burch. The PTO Board is currently investigating several options to add more technology to our Burch classrooms. Some possibilities include additional multi-media carts, laptops or interactive white boards. All of these options will allow the students to be active participants in their learning, and provide the teachers with additional tools and methods to reach children in the classroom. One recent use of PTO funding was to provide swings and two new slides to our playground!
