5th Grade Parents - There will be a very important parent information meeting at Flat Rock Middle School, May 12th at 6:00 p.m.
Parents - Please make sure that all obligations have been paid - lunch money, books, picture money, etc. Cash only, no checks will be accepted.
Field Days May 12 - 16: The students' end of the year parties will be held during lunch on their field days. All parents are invited to attend Field Day activities.
Thank You to all who have donated money and materials to build "Mr. Burch's Front Porch" in our Media Center.
Reminder: No checks or charges for cafeteria meals after April 28, 2008.
Emergency/Inclement Weather Plan
Fayette County schools create and maintain preparedness plans to safeguard your child in the event of an emergency. In the past, inclement weather has caused mid-day school closings. In this case, the following procedures should be used.
· Listen to WSB radio 750AM or WGST 640 AM for closings. You are responsible for knowing if schools are closed. Also, please visit www.fcboe.org for school closings.
· At the beginning of the year, you will be requested to provide information about what your child is to do if there is an early dismissal of school due to inclement weather or another emergency.
· We must emphasize that we need an emergency contact number for each student in case of an emergency.
