ABOUT THE SEARCH UTILITY

You may enter in search criteria for any or all fields. However, it is best to try to be as specific as possible. For example, if you enter only the letter "a" for the title the program will find all books with an "a" in the title. Depending on the number of books in the database, this could take some time!

The information that this web site uses is created from data exported from the Accelerated Reader® program. The current version of the AR program only stores 18 characters for the author and 32 character for the book title. This causes some of the longer title and author names to be truncated.

For example, the author "Patricia Reilly Giff" is truncated in the AR database to "Patricia Reilly Gi". If you search for the author "Giff", the search will not return any of Patricia Reilly Giff's books. However, if you search on any part of the first 18 characters of the author's name, the books will be located.

Please keep these limitations in mind when you are searching the database.
